This recreational reserve opened to the public in November 2022. Official Opening 4th March 2023. Containing dedicated mountain bike trails, walking and horse tracks, the team at Project Parore have been undertaking pest control in the area for some time. The Waitekohe stream running at the bottom of the block has some of the most stunning native bush that almost looks untouched to man. This walk will be an informative adventure through the native vegetation. You will likely get wet feet!
There will be an educational walk in the Waitekohekohe Reserve and a dip in one of the water holes.
There are 30 spaces only for this trip so be in quick!
