Luck at Last Goldmine. You might not find any gold, but if you like an adventure, then your luck will surely be in! The track to the Luck at Last Stamping Battery is an easy stroll along an old carriage way bounded by native trees and the Wharekawa stream. You will find remains of assorted machinery and brick works left over from the 1897 workings. Further on upstream are the number 1 and number 2 mine drives.
Please meet at 8.45am to be able to start walking at 9am sharp.
There is a possibility of harvesting in the area, if there is harvesting happening an alternative walk will be advised closer to the time.
