From Waihi Beach, transport will take you to the start of the walk, high above Homunga Bay. From there the walk follows the coastline, skirting headlands, cliffs and passing through small stream gullies containing Puriri, Pohutukawa and Nikau palms. You will also see the remnants of coastal forest. Mine tunnels along the coast are reminders of the attempts to extract gold from the area. A varied and picturesque walk.
There are 18 spaces only for this trip so be in quick!
You MUST register prior to any walk/cycle/kayak/boat trip.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are responsible for their own safety equipment, food, water, clothing and vehicles.
The Festival is a non-profit event which relies heavily on volunteers, and donations to help pay for the organisation and promotion of the month-long event.
