We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Walk

Thursday, 19 April 2018

Grade 2

Nearest Town: Karangahake

Registration Region: Waihi

Start Time: 10:00 am - Crown Hill Carpark, Karangahake Gorge

… NOT! From the Crown Hill Carpark in the Karangahake Gorge we cross over to the Hauraki Rail Trail. Follow the track along the river, past huge boulders, water rushing and eels swimming. Over the mini bridge, past the waterfall, along the track, over the swingy bridge, up the stairs through the dark dark tunnel, down the steps, along windy track, turn left onto the big bridge, over the road into the next long long dark tunnel, then over the bridge above the road at home ! Whew … now we have a treat for all our intrepid walkers! (specially for kids)
