Start Time: 9:00 am - Waihi Beach Water Reservoir carpark a the top of Pacific Road, Waihi Beach

Passing the site of the Discovery Mine, we will learn about this little known early mining venture at Waihi Beach, before continuing up the Waihi Beach Stream. We cross the stream a few times, and then continue past waterfalls. A 10 minute ascent leads to views over the Orokawa Reserve before returning via the Reservoir-Old Firebreak Track. A great walk for fit kids!
Bring food and drink, wear appropriate shoes. Children of all ages welcome with parent or guardian.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are responsible for their own safety equipment, food, water, clothing and vehicles.
