Grade 3

Nearest Town: Coromandel Town

Registration Region:

Duration: 4-4 ½ hours (including travel)

Start Time: 9:00 am - Meet at the Coromandel Information Centre for carpooling.

Cost: Gold coin for driver.

Due to the weather, the walking conditions on the Kaipawa Trig Track have become too dangerous to complete the planned walk on the 16th of August. The base of the track is clay and travels closely to open mines proving too risky. We apologise for the cancellation and hope to see you on another of our upcoming walks.

This is a Coromandel classic!

Kaipawa Trig Station from the top of Whangapoua Hill lookout (Maungataururu) and then return via the Success Track and back to the Information Centre. This walk through our beautiful Coromandel bush will be enjoyed by those who like a good walk while enjoying awesome views of Coromandel Harbour and islands. Walk through regenerating native bush and hear and experience the many vocal birds in the area.
