Breathe life into the story of Kupe, Polynesia's famous explorer, on an easy walking trail highlighting Whitianga's place in early Maori history. The walk starts and finishes at the Whitianga Wharf. An easy walking trail highlighting an area that has a significant place in New Zealand's history. Te Whitianga-nui-a Kupe (The Great Crossing Place of Kupe) is the original name for this area.
