Meet a Weta in the wild and take away an appreciation of these endangered New Zealand creatures. A fun and informative day for all the family, where you will learn how to make a range of "Weta Hotels" to attract these amazing native creatures to your back yard, and have an opportunity to see them up close and personal.  This activity includes a presentation from DOC Staff, and hands on exploration and investigation of Weta life starting from the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre near Thames.
